Learning Healing Prayer Courses

(formerly known as Learning to Prayer Counsel Week)

The Learning Healing Prayer Course is a popular course designed to help Christians in their ministry to the wider church body, and also their ministry to non-Christians.

The aim of the course is to help you experience and understand more of Father God’s healing love and His desire to bring wholeness to His people, and therefore to His world.  This is not an accredited course, and we are not able to authorise people into ministry, but many use our model in other spheres than just healing, such as intercession, evangelism, pastoral care and teaching. The course will help you grow in faith and hope, and understanding of God and His people.

Monday evening and all of Tuesday are teaching times, but this is not just an academic learning situation.  The talks we give are designed to give you a certain amount of information, but also to allow the Holy Spirit to touch areas of your own life that Jesus desires to heal.  As we teach you our model, you will begin to understand His incredible desire to bring wholeness and healing into your life, particularly in the painful past areas which affect people today.

Over Wednesday and Thursday we will give you the opportunity to experience God’s healing love by planning into the programme two 90 minute prayer ministry appointment for you with two members of our team.  Those who are not in prayer ministry will spend some time in a prayer support group with our team, praying for the ministries taking place.

Prayer ministry with our model is actually a work of the Holy Spirit, and learning comes as much by experience as by lecture and knowledge based learning.

During the course, we suggest that guests stay on site at the Centre during this week, and treat it as a retreat to be with the Father, and allow Him to speak.  It would be helpful to have some sort of reading material, although we do have books in our Quiet Room at the Centre.

We run this course as a series of three, with two courses such as this, and then an advanced course where the guests get involved in each other’s ministry under our guidance.  So the prayer ministry appointment has one member of our team, a guest working with our team for another guest who is being prayed for.  A second member of our team will act as prayer back up in the room.

These are very exciting weeks as Jesus comes by His Spirit to meet us in the teachings and minister to us in the Prayer Ministry Appointments.
